Long Term Care

Nurses working in long-term care are responsible for caring for patients who are in need of medical care for an extended period of time. They take care of patients with prolonged recovery times due to injury, or they may have a disability or illness. Often times these nurses work with the elderly. Long-term nurses are in charge of administering medication to patients, coordinate patient care and ensure that patients receive appropriate medical care in a safe environment.
